While many know Dave for its sport climbing, this weekend we are returning to the roots of the sport: the first ESAC trad climbing weekend in years is happening!
Dolomite is famous for its features, and Dave is no exception. The rock has cracks, pockets, and fractures, making it a good training ground for learning nut and cam placements.
If you listen to the sport climbers, they will tell you that Dave requires some "commitment" because the bolts are kinda far apart in some cases. But for you? You wouldn't even be looking for the bolts! With an average grade of 5a, it’s a good environment to build your confidence placing protection on vertical terrain.
Also keep in mind that this is a weekend in Belgium thus a klimjaarkaart is required to climb.
Also for both this course and this weekend your singlepitch license is required.
